The Kevlar® mat is manufactured in a similar fashion and is compatible with all epoxy and polyester resins. Kevlar mat is used to increase impact resistance and toughness. Use of Kevlar mat is recommended for the lower sections of slope soarer fuselages, nose cones, wing tips, and tail booms.

E-glass needled mat is a mechanically bonded glass fiber insulation blanket of uniform density supplied in thicknesses of 1/8″ , 1/4 “, 1/2″, and 1” that offers reliable, superior performance for continuous operating temperatures up to 1000° F (538° C) and excursions to 1200° F (649° C). The E-glass needled mat is manufactured from a well-controlled assortment of long textile glass fibers to assure uniform mechanical bonding with no additional binders, thereby assuring insulation efficiency during extended exposure of elevated temperatures.

S-glass (“S” for “Strength”) is used when high tensile strength (modulus) is important, and is thus an important building and aircraft epoxy composite. S-glass yarns, Mat and fabrics at up to 815 C (1500 F)

  • Roof protection from fire devastation
  • Fireproof clothing
  • Reinforcement in composites
  •  Electromagnetic shields

Carbon Fiber is a material that consisted of thousands of carbon atom fibers in diameters of 5 to 10 micrometers. In order for RW Carbon to produce carbon fiber products like front lip spoilers, rear diffusers, trunk spoilers, trunks, hood and many more, the carbon atom crystals must be bonded together in a symmetrical and parallel pattern. This alignment gives the carbon fiber its strength and the ability to be lightweight.

Thousands to millions of these carbon fibers are bundled together to form carbon fabric.

From there a mold must be made of the desired aero piece. In order to form your favorite carbon fiber parts and accessories, resin must be added to the carbon fabric and then molded. When a perfect mixture/ratio of carbon fabric and resin is used the parts become extremely rigid and take on a very high strength-to-weight-ratio.

Kevlar fabric is extremely strong, lightweight, corrosion and heat resistant. It is often used in combination with other materials, forming composites. It has a wide range of uses.

Kevlar has a high tensile strength to weight ratio, far exceeding steel and even specialist metal alloys, such as magnesium alloys, used in aerospace engineering.

For this reason it is used extensively in the manufacture of panels and wings for fighter jets, including the Eurofighter Typhoon.
